Two Sides Of One Mission

Dear Team,
Thank you for partnering with me! For the past few months I have been full-time support raising. In September I will move to YWAM’s Orlando campus to start full time ministry! Until then, I’m learning best practices for building and sustaining a support team.

Books like “The God Ask” and “Daring To Live On The Edge” have helped shape my perspective of what it means to have a support team. Additionally, retired missionaries have met with me to share their tried and true wisdom. I’ve learned from them that supporters and missionaries are “ministry partners”. To pray and donate is a ministry that enables missionaries to evangelize and disciple. Giving and going are two sides of one mission: making disciples of all nations.
Romans 12:4-8 was burning in my heart as I wrote this newsletter. We each have “gifts that differ” and together we make up the body of Christ. One of the gifts listed in verse 8 is actually giving! I hope you’re encouraged knowing that when you give, here or elsewhere, you are playing an important role in the Church. Giving financially is just one aspect of partnering: prayer and networking are equally important ways to sustain those who “go”. So, thank you for partnering with me. I am so thankful I didn’t have to say “yes” to fulfilling the Great Commission alone, because you said “yes” too!
Your ministry partner,
Katrielle Bauknight
