Hey team!
Exciting news/update: I am buying and moving into a trailer this September!
In YWAM we have staff housing where staff can share a dorm with 4 roommates. For the past year I have lived in shared staff housing and I am so thankful because it was a great first step into a missions career. But, from the beginning I knew that shared housing was a short term solution. So, for the past year, I have been searching for a trailer and saving what I can along the way. As of last week I found a trailer that meets all of my housing needs and desires!
That being said, my next step in long-term missions is purchasing a trailer! A quiet space for bible study, rest, and deep friendship will help me not only endure but thrive in missions for the long run. What's more, it was previously owned by a couple who was on staff with YWAM Orlando: they just redid the roof and floors THIS YEAR! They are now leaving missions so they are selling their trailer to me! Therefore, there is already a spot on campus that I can rent so I won't even have to move off of YWAM property: this provides a high level of security since a portion of my year is spent traveling. After prayer, consulting, and research I have confidence that this purchase is right for me.
This trailer costs $15,000. With the added cost of taxes and transferring the title my total cost will likely come to about $20,000. Currently with donations and savings combined I have $14,000 set aside for purchasing this trailer! Thank you so much for your donations and support: I wouldn't be this far along without this team! We are almost at our goal, but, I still need to raise $6,000 by September for this purchase. So, if you could each take some time this week to pray about donating towards my "first home" or referring me to someone who you think would be interested in partnering with me it would mean a lot. Whether a one time donation or a monthly donation increase it would be a blessing because my monthly expenses will also increase with this purchase!
